Kings of Kush “When I Grow Up” [video]


Toronto’s spoken word jester Boonaa Mohammed and multi-talented musician, composer and vocalist Waleed Abdulhamid have just released a debut video for their Kings of Kush project, for the song “When I Grow Up”.

Waleed, a celebrated musician (Toronto African Music Awards, Band of the Year Award, 2000) has brought his talents to many stages performing with an array of artists, including percussion for Zaki Ibrahim.

Boonaa Mohammed has quickly become a highly celebrated Toronto poet (CBC poetry face off, Best New Artist, 2007) featured through a multitude of spoken word events and poetry shows accross the country.
