Circle Research ink deal with Melting Pot Music

Circle Research

A double celebration for Toronto’s Circle Research this past week.

Circle Research, one of the first crews I witnessed live doing multiple turntable mixing, scratching and manipulation (in London, Ontario of all places), have put a wrap on over 10-years of radio on CKLN (Ryerson) radio in the TDot. As much on-air comedy as great music, the CR crew has provided many a late evening of entertainment in their 2-4am time slot.

TheCyberKrib.com and United crew would like to congratulate Astro, Big Tweeze, and Nix on their well deserved radio retirement, and all the success on future ventures.

Future ventures have already come to fruition for Circle Research (Nix & Astro), as it was announced this past week that they’ve been added to the label roster at Melting Pot Music, an indie label based in Cologne, Germany. The CR album Who? lead to the signing, a first in what could be a series of albums featuring both instrumental and vocal tracks. They join artists already on the Melting Pot roster including Kutiman, Miles Bonny, Mark Hype & DJ Dunloop, DJ Day and Lefties Soul Connection.
