The Return of Gnarles Barkley: “Run”

Gnarles Barkley - The Odd Couple

In 2006, Gnarles Barkley astonished everyone with their St. Elsewhere album causing a creative stir in the music scene.  The dynamic duo had originally planned to make their collaboration a one time deal, but after all the success they decided to work on a second offering.

Danger Mouse tells The New York Times that, “things are going great, as the new music shows a newfound comfort level they have with each other as well as all the things that come with success.” Aside from this project, Danger Mouse is also involved with the production of the new Black Keys album, Attack & Release,  as well as Martina Topley-Bird’s The Blue Gold.

“I’ve retreated back to where I found inspiration the first time around, and that was in Atlanta and that was in the car and just being observant and quiet,” Cee-Lo told MTV News.

The album is called The Odd Couple, and is slated for April 2008 release.

The psychedelic soul tune “Run” can be heard here, which is rumoured to be the first official single.
