The Roots new album Rising Down drops tomorrow, and what seems like the first official mainstream appeal video has dropped for the single “Rising Up” featuring DC emcee Wale and Chrisette Michele.
Videos have dropped previously for “75 Bars”, “Get Busy” and the pretty awful “Birthday Girl” that was left off the North American release (lead single internationally though).
“Rising Up” takes a go-go approach, appropriately as Wale came up in the DC/Baltimore go-go scene.
It’s reported that the Roots will shoot future videos with Rik Cordero (who directed the first 4 videos off Rising Down) for the following tracks off Rising Down including: “Criminal,” “Rising Down,” “Singing Man,” “I Can’t Help It,” “Unwritten,” and “I Will Not Apologize.”

Get Busy Is the greatest track to me right now, 75 bars as also not bad, but rising up, and rising down..MEHH..there okay..they don’t bring any heat to the kitchen though….
