Toronto based singer Ayah has announced the release of a new mixtape entitled Problem Woman, a project influenced by the music of Marvin Gaye’s Trouble Man, an album soundtrack created for the blaxploitation flick of the same name.
The mixtape will utilize the mostly instrumental facets of Trouble Man as the backdrops for new material from Ayah. The Problem Woman mixtape will be available in May 2008.
Get a taste of the mixtape, with the following track “I Reminisce” with Ayah crooning over J Dilla’s now classic “Think Twice” from the album Welcome To Detroit.

Sounds interesting. Didn’t Will Strickland at UMAC write a script or concept like this for a DVD with Ayah? Is this the same thing? My partners & I were gonna back Problem Woman, but Will said they were not working together anymore. Is that still true?
